About Phoenix Care At Home
Thank you for your interest in Phoenix Care At Home Ltd. The Phoenix Care At Home Service, who are rated excellent with CSCI (now (CQC), commenced on the 1st April 2006 and provides a domiciliary care service for elderly and disabled adults. The service enables people to maintain their independence and give regular carers a break by providing flexible care packages of personal care, shopping, meal preparation and domestic duties. The service can be purchased through direct payment system or privately. The areas we cover in North Devon include Braunton and Barnstaple. We also provide care to people coming to North Devon on holiday, and staying in local hotels or guest houses, or our own Phoenix Retreat which should be available from August 2010. We are a care provider who would like to welcome your comments and suggestions regarding the service you receive, and would invite you to have as much input as possible in the running of our service.
There are opportunities for clients to sit on the interview panel when we recruit new staff, or attend a staff meeting at any time.
We have a quality assurance procedure, as well as a complaints procedure, should you ever need to complain. We always aim to provide a high quality and professional service at all times, which is individually tailored to suit each person, but understand at times things may go wrong. We want you to let us know if this happens and use the complaints procedure so we may continue to learn from our mistakes and ensure best possible practice.

You are also welcome to come in to visit us if you would prefer at Unit B, Chivenor Business Park, Chivenor, Barnstaple, North Devon EX31 4AY. There is disabled access to our premises.
We also offer a handyman service to our clients, which includes taking clients to hospital or Doctors appointments. Our handyman is called Peter, and has been police checked so you can feel safe in the knowledge that he is trustworthy. This is a non profit making service we provide as an ‘extra’ service to our clients.
